Blast From the Past

For the past few years or, lets just say 13 years, I have always had very memorable times. I have always wanted to go back and do them again, or relive them some how. So here is the question I always ask.

Why live it again, when you have already lived it perfectly the first time?

Well, the fact of the matter is that, we want to live it again because it was so perfect, just like you wouldn't go to Lagoon, have a blast, and then never go again because it was perfect the first time, you would go again, because it was so fun! Here are a few memories i would love to relive.

When I was little I was at the beach, climbing onto a big black rock, there was a pink Sea Anemone, and I poked it, and it sucked back in faster than the speed of light! I just loved the feeling of the mist from the ocean on my body, and running away from the waves (but failed) and collecting sea shells.

When I went to the May Pole with my Dad one year, all long time ago. We helped marry a couple while they stood in the middle while 50 or so people were weaving in and out, binding them with ribbons. I remember jumping over a huge pit of fire while holding my Dad's hand and making a wish. I want to relive the feeling I had all that day, the feeling like I belonged there, the feeling of nature all around me, and spirited people full of life, and joy.

When my Dad and Jen (x-step Mom)got married, it was so pretty there, and I was with everyone I loved. 2 people I loved were joining together, to make a family, so that I could have a sister I had always wanted. ( I love you Em!!)

And last but certainly not least. When I went to Idaho with my Grandma to see a cattle branding a lady there asked me if i wanted to ride a horse I said Eww no..duh I said I would love to!! So she put me on a horse and I rode with her daughter...Darbie was her name. I remember never feeling so free before, we rode so fast, the view was blurring, she told me to lean over to help the horse go faster, and then we turned our heads, and I can still see her face, smiling back at me, her hair in her face from the wind speeding past. I have never felt better.

So how could I ever relive those moments??

I just did. Not by being there again, but from remembering, our minds can do so much more then we give it credit for. Memories can be as real as if you were just there, just like a dream.
